mergermarket is a market-leading M&A intelligence service used by over 60,000 subscribers across more than 1,000 firms, and its proprietary deal data must be completely reliable and always available. After facing reliability and quality-of-service issues with a previous provider, the IT team used a balanced-scorecard process to evaluate data centre partners and identify a solution that met strict criteria for cost, location, flexibility, power, carrier access and room for growth.

They selected Interxion and moved mission-critical equipment to Interxion’s City of London data centre, gaining scalable colocation, multilayer physical security, ISO 27001 certification, access to around 90 carriers, and highly redundant power and cooling for maximum uptime. The migration delivered continuous availability, improved connectivity and capacity for expansion, and mergermarket plans to add Interxion’s Secure Data Service to implement a global disaster-recovery strategy.
