Increasing Control and Flexibility with a Scalable Data Center Strategy

SingleHop, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Chicago, is a fast-growing provider of cloud IaaS and managed hosting with data centers in the Netherlands, Arizona and Illinois. Facing rising demand and a desire to offload physical infrastructure responsibilities, the company sought a long-term partner to develop and manage scalable data center capacity, reduce OPEX leakage, and let SingleHop concentrate on service innovation and growth.

SingleHop partnered with Digital Realty to secure space at the Franklin Park campus near Chicago, occupying a suite that supports 1.5 MW of IT load with room to expand as needed. The outsourced, campus-style solution gives SingleHop predictable costs, ready access to a mission-critical facility, and on-demand scalability to support continued global expansion while the company focuses on improving customer service.
