Atlantic Health System (AHS), a nonprofit health care provider serving New Jersey and the New York metro area, faced rapidly outgrowing its legacy IT environment as electronic transaction standards and its business model evolved. AHS needed a modern, scalable data center up and running within six months to support future growth and maintain high-quality patient care, prompting a competitive vendor selection that chose Digital Realty.

Digital Realty built a custom, multitenant solution at its Piscataway facility that expanded AHS’s power and cage footprint while delivering robust connectivity (30+ fiber providers), high resiliency (36 MW capacity and a 69 kV substation with three feeds), and 24/7 operational support (web portal, infrastructure management, remote-hands, and on-site technicians). The turnkey cage was completed and online within the timeline, providing a cost- and energy-efficient platform that supports AHS’s long-term data center strategy and continued delivery of world-class patient care.
