Case Study: ServerCentral grows global customer base and boosts revenue with Digital Realty data center

A Digital Realty Case Study

Preview of the ServerCentral Case Study

Growing Customer Base and Improving Revenue

ServerCentral, a Chicago-based managed IT infrastructure provider serving enterprise clients since 2000, faced a surge in demand as organizations moved from privately hosted data centers to professionally managed, cloud-enabled facilities. To capture that market opportunity the company needed a nearby wholesale data center partner that could provide high performance, scalability, proximity to transport hubs and a collaborative relationship invested in ServerCentral’s growth.

ServerCentral partnered with Digital Realty’s Elk Grove Village facility in 2008, starting with ~9,000 sq ft and 1.3 MW and steadily expanding capacity, onsite 24/7 staff (about 25 people) and customized connectivity (including dark fiber) to meet customer needs. The partnership enabled ServerCentral to win customers nationally and globally across multiple industries, materially grow revenue, exceed scalability expectations and plan a second site with Digital Realty.
