Fidea Ready for the Future With its Own Independent IT Infrastructure

Fidea, a Belgian non-life insurer seeking to strengthen its independence and support growth, needed a new compliant IT infrastructure that met strict FSMA and National Bank of Belgium requirements. The challenge was to design and migrate network, storage, security, hosting and backup systems into a private cloud with guaranteed network neutrality and high performance — all within a six-month window — so Fidea selected Tyneso (with Interxion data centres) to deliver the project.

Tyneso and Interxion built a carrier-neutral private cloud across multiple data centres with fiber links, HP blade servers, SAN storage, replicated backups, VOIP telephony, logging and strong security controls. The result is low-latency (2 ms) connectivity, shielded and scalable internet access, ISO/BS-certified security and Uptime Institute–aligned availability, plus tested business continuity and rapid scalability on demand, ensuring compliance, performance and resilience.
