Client Instant Access (CIA) provides secure, real-time global dialing, messaging and conferencing for regulated financial, healthcare and legal customers, enabling large multi‑participant calls and instant multi‑channel contact. With nodes in New York, Dublin, São Paulo, London, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney, their hybrid on‑premise and cloud architecture needed more reliable, flexible private connectivity to improve call quality, handle variable bandwidth demands and support instant disaster recovery—limits of the public Internet and IPsec were constraining performance.
CIA moved to Digital Realty’s Service Exchange to establish direct private connections between sites and cloud providers, simplifying provisioning and enabling on‑the‑fly bandwidth changes and failover. The result: a 10× increase in bandwidth, 50× greater burst capacity, about 15% lower latency, fewer virtual workload migrations, improved call quality and faster backups—delivering stronger security, reliability and operational flexibility.
