Case Study: OBO achieves full control and scalable, simple infrastructure with DigitalOcean

A DigitalOcean Case Study

Preview of the OBO Case Study

With DigitalOcean, OBO has Full Control over their Infrastructure

OBO is a Baltimore-based B2B marketing firm (founded 2016) that builds data-driven, multi-touch campaigns for business customers. As it rapidly onboarded clients, OBO’s cloud infrastructure became increasingly complex and costly—paying per data node and spinning up many servers—so the team needed a migration that preserved integrity and avoided downtime.

OBO moved to DigitalOcean, spinning up an initial 10 Droplets (now ~40) with zero lag during migration, running MySQL and email services and migrating client image hosting to Spaces. Using DigitalOcean’s API, Python automation, and simpler permission controls, OBO now provisions and rebuilds servers in minutes, reduces costs and complexity, and can focus more on delivering sophisticated marketing solutions.
