A DigitalOcean Case Study

How Podiant uses DigitalOcean Kubernetes to serve thousands of daily podcasts

Podiant, a podcast hosting and analytics platform based in Birmingham, UK, needed a more scalable and affordable infrastructure after running into high costs and memory limits with Heroku and AWS. The company turned to DigitalOcean, using DigitalOcean Kubernetes, Spaces, Droplets, and related services to support its growing podcast workload and audience.

DigitalOcean helped Podiant move to a containerized, cloud-native setup with independently scalable microservices, load balancing, object storage, and CI/CD through GitLab on Droplets. The result was a simpler platform that scaled better and cut infrastructure costs to roughly 10% of what Podiant had been paying with Heroku and AWS.
