Case Study: Pertino delivers instant multi-cloud VPCs and a global high-performance data plane with DigitalOcean Droplets

A DigitalOcean Case Study

Preview of the Pertino Case Study

How Pertino Uses DigitalOcean

Pertino is a software-defined networking company that delivers a cloud-native VPN and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) as a service, enabling seamless, always-on connectivity for distributed workforces and cloud servers. The challenge was that traditional VPC solutions and WAN-based VPCs rely on complex, static VPN appliances and vendor-specific integrations, making it hard and un‑cloud‑like to extend private networks reliably across multiple cloud providers and locations.

Pertino’s Cloud Network Engine uses host-based software and cloud-based virtual overlays to instantly create multi‑cloud WAN VPCs that are easy to deploy and manage. Pertino runs its control and data planes on public cloud VMs and uses DigitalOcean Droplets as distributed, high‑performance data planes worldwide, gaining rapid provisioning, reliable VMs and optimized networking—so DigitalOcean is a preferred provider and is used in Pertino’s data centers globally.
