DigitalOcean supports Atom Learning's adaptive online learning platform as it grows

Atom Learning is an adaptive online learning platform for primary school students that uses machine learning and AI to personalize content and questions. As its user base grew rapidly, the team needed a more reliable, scalable way to maintain the platform and support continued growth, so it turned to DigitalOcean and its Managed Kubernetes offering.

DigitalOcean helped Atom Learning containerize its monolithic application into microservices and run them across three Kubernetes clusters with VPC networking, allowing the company to scale gradually without a major rewrite. The result was a smoother transition to a more resilient architecture, with Atom Learning growing to over 350,000 accounts, 95+ employees, and 50% month-to-month growth in 2019, while avoiding major architecture changes after launching on DigitalOcean.
