Deutsche Post faced rapidly growing demand for online services with more than 300 concurrent software projects and 2,000+ team members distributed across regions and vendors. The MAIL division struggled with fragmented tools, manual hand-offs, lack of visibility into source code and documentation, technical debt, and inconsistent processes that delayed time-to-market. To address this, Deutsche Post selected Digital.ai’s TeamForge as the standard ALM/DevOps platform.
Digital.ai implemented TeamForge as a centralized, integrated ALM and CI/CD platform (hosted and integrated with HP tools, Hudson, Eclipse, etc.), automating provisioning, builds, tests and deployments and enabling social coding and unified governance. The result: provisioning that once took four months now happens instantly, continuous integration and testing feed back automatically, defects are found earlier, infrastructure costs and energy use were reduced, and TeamForge paid for itself after the first rollout phase. TeamForge today supports ~500 active users on 115 projects and is planned to cover half of the division’s ~300 projects, delivering measurable improvements in agility, quality and cost.
