Large Technology Company worked with Digital Shadows after expanding its infrastructure and adding new security tools, only to find their team overwhelmed by too many alerts and unable to prioritize thousands of vulnerabilities. Using Digital Shadows SearchLight, they gained visibility into their attack surface and identified exposed infrastructure weaknesses, including open ports linked to the SMB “EternalBlue” vulnerability associated with ransomware risk.

Digital Shadows’ SearchLight alerted the team to the issue, fed the finding into their SIEM with severity and remediation guidance, and helped them close port 445 before it could be exploited. The company also used the insight to develop a ransomware playbook and refine its monitored assets, including AWS IPs, improving ongoing attack surface monitoring and response readiness.
