Duke Health, a leading healthcare provider and research university, faced a challenge with siloed data that prevented it from measuring its community impact. Its partner data was scattered across the institution in different formats, making it difficult to harness for stakeholders. Digital Scientists was engaged to build a custom Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) research platform to centralize this data and serve as a hub for community partnerships.

Digital Scientists developed a comprehensive web platform featuring an interactive SDOH map that overlays community initiatives with public health datasets. The solution included a custom CRM, data-driven dashboards, and tools for grant management and volunteer coordination. This centralized Partnership Platform, built with React and Ruby on Rails, integrated over 400 datasets and provided Duke with a powerful tool to visualize its community impact and strengthen its partnerships.
