How DealMatrix created a Global Pitch competition with €500 tech budget

DealMatrix runs the twice-yearly Global Pitch competition, selecting 15 finalists from hundreds of applicants across four to five continents and pitching to roughly 50 investors—creating huge logistical and bandwidth challenges. To ensure reliable, professional broadcasts without large broadcast fees or complex setups, DealMatrix partnered with Digital Samba and used the Samba Live streaming service (including its low-bandwidth mode and Facebook Live integration) to bring international presenters online.

Digital Samba enabled a low-cost, repeatable production using about €500 of gear (webcam, audio interface, shotgun mic, headphones and laptops), pre-loaded slide decks, pre-event testing, and a director who managed Facebook Live without extra software or staff. The result was a smooth, four-hour global event with 15 finalists pitching across three sessions to ~50 investors, winners announced the next day, and a professional Facebook broadcast reach—all delivered on a €500 tech budget thanks to Digital Samba and Samba Live.
