The Outlook for Someday, a New Zealand student film challenge focused on sustainability, needed a reliable online way to receive large video submissions from Year 1–13 entrants. After managing physical hard drives, DVDs and couriers and finding Dropbox impractical (requiring individual downloads), The Outlook for Someday turned to Digital Pigeon to let entrants upload large files via a simple link and centralize submission management.

Digital Pigeon delivered a link-based upload system plus push and email notifications to support structured feedback and re‑submission, enabling organisers to manage entries centrally and respond quickly. The solution reliably handled large influx volumes, eliminated the burden of physical media handling, sped up processing and communications, and — in the organisers’ words — helped them “nail online delivery.”
