Case Study: HP 48HOURS achieves fast, seamless out-of-town film submissions with Digital Pigeon

A Digital Pigeon Case Study

Preview of the HP 48HOURS Case Study

Digital Pigeon Sponsors the HP 48HOURS Furious Filmmaking Competition

HP 48HOURS, New Zealand’s largest guerrilla filmmaking competition, needed a way for out-of-town teams to submit finished films during and immediately after the 48-hour event instead of physically delivering drives to regional centres. Digital Pigeon stepped in with a bespoke branded upload page and digital delivery service to handle remote entries.

Digital Pigeon’s hp48.digitalpigeon.com portal processed 75 out-of-town submissions totaling just over 100 GB—most received on the Sunday of the competition—allowing organisers to forward files to city managers early for heat screenings and event assets. The fast uploads and streamlined workflow sped up out-of-town deliveries and event preparation, and Digital Pigeon will iterate on feedback to make next year’s remote uploads even smoother.
