Digital Pigeon Powers-up Infrastructure for the Australian Cinematographers Society Annual State & Territory Awards

The Australian Cinematographers Society needed a better way to handle submissions for its Annual State & Territory Awards. Previously, entrants had to deliver files physically on USB sticks, and even their fallback file-sharing options were slow and inconvenient. Digital Pigeon provided the file-sharing infrastructure to replace that process and support online uploads for the awards.

Using Digital Pigeon’s platform, ACS set up state-based accounts and a custom upload widget that prefilled entrant details, making submissions faster and more reliable. The system allowed ACS to confidently accept files up to 10GB, automatically notify entrants of delivery, and download submissions directly to local storage. Digital Pigeon helped eliminate USB submissions entirely for the 2018 awards, and ACS planned to extend the upload cap to support even larger 4K video files.
