A Digital Asset Case Study

Preview of the Deutsche Börse Group Case Study

Deutsche Börse cuts securities issuance from days to minutes with Digital Asset

Deutsche Börse Group sought to automate its paper-based, manual post-trade processes for digital securities, which were inefficient, slow, and prone to risk and error. To overcome these challenges and evolve beyond legacy technology, they partnered with vendor Digital Asset to build a new digital platform.

The solution implemented using Digital Asset's Daml smart contract language was D7, a hybrid digital securities platform. This enabled fully automated, straight-through processing, reducing issuance from days to minutes. The measurable impact includes a significant reduction in cost per unit and operational risk. Deutsche Börse has processed dozens of digital issuances, including a €20 million bond, since going live.
