Chainstack ports CorDapp to Daml in around a day with Digital Asset

Chainstack, a blockchain platform provider, faced the challenge of porting their existing 'No Ticket Scalping' CorDapp from Corda to a more efficient model. They partnered with vendor Digital Asset to leverage their Daml for Corda solution, which allows Daml smart contracts to run on Corda blockchains, aiming to simplify the application and improve its maintainability.

The solution implemented by Digital Asset involved porting the application's core contract logic into a single Daml file and connecting the existing web application to the new Daml backend using a Daml Ledger API client. This approach replaced multiple complex sub-projects with a more streamlined and easier-to-reason-about codebase. As a result, Digital Asset enabled Chainstack to successfully complete the porting process in approximately one day, significantly reducing development time and future maintenance overhead for the application.
