A Digiexam Case Study
Aalen University, a traditional on-site institution, faced the challenge of maintaining its high-quality education for its 6,500 students during the COVID-19 lockdown. The university needed a solution to quickly transition from purely on-site exams to a remote and hybrid examination model while ensuring security and meeting strict data privacy regulations.
To meet this challenge, Aalen University implemented a digital learning platform that included Digiexam for secure online testing. Starting with a small pilot, they achieved high adoption, scaling to 20,000 online exams in a single year. Supported by Digiexam's lockdown browser and a direct technical support line, the solution provided a secure "safety net" for students and staff. As a result of the successful implementation with Digiexam, the university was ranked 8th among German universities for digital readiness.
