State Treasury improves reporting accuracy with Digia

The State Treasury, a government agency under Finland's Ministry of Finance, needed to modernize its outdated finance data warehouse and develop clearer, more reliable reporting. Their previous system was limited in scope, difficult to maintain, and had high costs. Digia was engaged to implement a new solution using Microsoft SQL Server and the Data Vault methodology.

Digia built and implemented the new HALTI system to replace the old data warehouse. The solution provides better scalability, receives more extensive data from source systems, and offers greater transparency for users. As a result, the State Treasury now benefits from unambiguous reports, more accurate financial calculations, and streamlined, standardized reporting for financial instruments like loans and guarantees.
