City of Espoo automates services for 300,000 residents with Digia

The City of Espoo, one of Finland's largest cities and employers, faced challenges in automating processes due to a lack of a centralized integration platform. This led to poor visibility, difficult maintenance, and unreliable systems, which increased costs and slowed automation work. To address this, the city partnered with vendor Digia to implement a modern integration platform and service model.

Digia implemented a cloud-based integration platform using Apache Camel and Amazon Web Services, managed through an Integration Competency Center (ICC) model. The solution made integrations easier and faster, improved system reliability with automatic monitoring, and significantly strengthened information security. Digia's work under the ICC model provided the City of Espoo with efficient maintenance and successful cooperation, helping to continuously improve services for residents and employees.
