Euronet, Poland’s leading provider of electronic payment and transaction processing solutions, needed a secure, reliable, and easy-to-install wireless connection for its 4,000-ATM network. The company worked with Digi International through partner S&T to replace satellite-based connectivity and reduce the risk of downtime, which could cost up to $300,000 per day across its ATM fleet.

Digi International implemented Digi TransPort GSM/cellular routers across Euronet’s Polish ATMs, using mobile standards like GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, and HSPA to deliver secure VPN data transmission and automatic failover between networks. The result was a more flexible, cost-effective, and secure system that helped Euronet meet its 99.5% service-level agreement, maintain continuous service nationwide, and improve confidence in future ATM deployments.
