IGT Turns To Digi For Innovative Wireless Routers To Rapidly Deploy Lottery Systems

IGT, a global lottery systems operator with more than 400,000 point-of-sale devices in 100 countries, faced a challenge to deliver ultra-reliable, high-performance communications for time-sensitive, government-regulated lottery contracts—including two rapid deployments of 10,000 terminals each in Mexico and South Africa, often in remote or infrastructure-poor locations where speed and reliability were critical to meet strict SLAs.

IGT selected Digi TransPort cellular routers and Digi Remote Manager—preconfigured, enterprise-class cellular routers with integrated Wi‑Fi, VPN/firewall, serial/USB/GPS options and centralized provisioning—which enabled plug-and-play installs and remote management. The result was faster, simplified rollouts without depending on local phone lines, strong reliability in harsh environments, consistently high customer evaluations, and on-time delivery of large-scale deployments.
