Digi International provided a solution for FSM Ground Services Management, the operator of the Tel-O-Fun bike-sharing system in Tel Aviv. The challenge was to ensure reliable, fast, and secure wireless connectivity for rental terminals across the city to process payments and manage bike releases, without costly roadwork. The solution needed to withstand high heat and humidity.

The solution implemented by Digi International was the ConnectPort wireless 3G router, chosen for its multiple Ethernet ports, PCI-DSS compliance for payments, and rugged industrial design. The results were a consistently working system with no connectivity or equipment issues in the field, supporting nearly ten thousand daily journeys. FSM plans to expand to other cities and countries, citing confidence in the hardware for future features like VoIP support.
