Flying Eye is a France‑based designer and manufacturer of high‑performance drones used for thermal imaging, agricultural spraying, security, video production and surveying. Facing the safety and regulatory challenges of operating small aircraft near people, the company needed reliable contingency systems and redundant communications to prevent crashes and meet strict country-specific rules.

Flying Eye implemented Digi XBee RF modules to provide two separate RF links—one dedicated solely to remotely triggering a chemically deployed emergency parachute—using pre‑certified, easy‑to‑configure modules with long line‑of‑sight range.
