FELFEL expands workplace meals to 80+ locations with Digi International

FELFEL, a Swiss company aiming to provide fresh and affordable workplace meals, faced the challenge of limited food options in isolated office parks. They sought to create a custom kiosk refrigerator solution that would deliver a unique user experience for on-demand fresh food. To achieve this, they worked with vendor Digi International and implemented the Digi ConnectCore 6 single-board computer.

The solution powered by Digi's ConnectCore 6 SBC controlled an Android application that managed refrigerator locks, a barcode scanner, and token-based POS transactions via a 4G LTE connection. This provided the necessary graphics, speed, and performance for the system. As a result, FELFEL successfully installed its solution at over 80 locations across Switzerland and Liechtenstein, enabling efficient inventory replenishment based on real-time data and planning for further expansion.
