Evoqua Water Technologies accelerates water monitoring with Digi, building 50 pre-production boards

Evoqua Water Technologies, a company providing water treatment systems, faced the challenge of creating a more advanced and cost-effective digital water-monitoring solution for its industrial customers. Their existing system offered limited data, and building a more functional one with off-the-shelf technology was prohibitively expensive. To overcome this, Evoqua partnered with vendor Digi International and its Digi WDS Product Development Services.

The solution implemented by Digi International involved using the Digi ConnectCore 6UL system-on-module for edge processing and Digi XBee Cellular embedded modems for connectivity. The Digi WDS team provided comprehensive engineering support to design, prototype, and manufacture the new monitoring system. This collaboration allowed Evoqua to accelerate development, reduce risk, and significantly lower the per-site cost of monitoring. The result was a reliable, cost-effective product that provides customers with detailed, real-time water quality data.
