Facing the need to expand flight range and maintain reliable remote control—especially for search-and-rescue and emergency response missions—Draganfly required advanced point-to-point wireless communications that perform well around buildings, trees, and over long distances.

Draganfly partnered with Digi International to equip the Draganflyer X4-P with XBee-PRO 900HP modules operating in the 900 MHz band (with an 868 MHz variant for other regions), providing longer-range, obstacle-resistant control and easy global deployment. The upgrade has extended operational reach, supported lifesaving public-safety uses (including credited search-and-rescue missions), and helped advance the company’s mission of innovation.
