Digi Gateways Enable Wildfire Early Detection System

Firebreak USA/Canada, maker of the FirePosse perimeter wildfire detection system, needed a more reliable way to connect remote sensors where wireline service is unavailable. Their prior satellite links could delay alarms by up to an hour and required constant troubleshooting, cutting into sales and risking late response when early detection matters most.

Working with Digi, Firebreak moved to XBee ZB modules and a ConnectPort X4 gateway that relay sensor data over cellular (or satellite) and Digi Remote Manager’s cloud platform. The result: alarms reach authorities in seconds, systems are configurable and field-programmable, deployments are completed in days, and customers gain scalable monitoring, mapping and real-time notifications backed by stronger vendor support.
