Excel Industries, a longtime outdoor power equipment manufacturer, needed a faster way to manage parts books and manuals for its dealer network. Before using Digabit, Inc.’s Documoto platform, updates depended on a previous provider and could take five or six months to reach dealers, creating parts-ordering errors, frustrating customers, and adding shipping and return costs.
With Documoto, Excel Industries took control of its parts information and centralised manuals in a cloud library with searchable, real-time updates. The company said changes now go live in 45 minutes instead of a minimum of 4 months, and within a few months more than 75% of dealers were using the system; the case study also says 9 out of 10 Excel dealers adopted the new platform, with inaccurate parts orders declining significantly.
