Panera Bread, a major fast casual restaurant chain, faced the challenge of needing to streamline its overly complex menu. Dig Insights implemented their Upsiide platform to test consumer reactions to various menu changes with 3,000 US consumers. This agile solution provided the robust data modeling needed to determine which items to keep, introduce, or remove. The results were a resounding success; Panera reduced total menu items by 37%, cutting them from 141 to 89, while maintaining customer satisfaction and revenue.
