How a pharma company leveraged MaxDiff to identify which claims would drive trials

A multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences company needed to identify which one or two product claims would be most effective at driving consumer trial and purchase interest for an on-pack message. They partnered with vendor Dig Insights to tackle this challenge using their Upsiide platform for claims testing.

Dig Insights implemented a MaxDiff exercise via Upsiide to test multiple potential claims among a robust sample of 1,000 consumers. The solution revealed that the client's current claim was the strongest performer and that adding a secondary claim would not increase its reach. As a direct result of this research, Dig Insights provided the insight that no changes to the packaging were needed, saving the company from an ineffective redesign.
