Case Study: VR-Bank Werdenfels modernizes its branch experience with Diebold Nixdorf

A Diebold Nixdorf Case Study

Preview of the VR-Bank Werdenfels Case Study

Inside an Optimized, Modernized Branch Where Nature Meets Technology

VR-Bank Werdenfels eG, a German cooperative bank, wanted to modernize its 25-year-old branch in Oberammergau, which had a dark entrance and an outdated layout that limited the customer experience. VR-Bank Werdenfels turned to Diebold Nixdorf for help in rethinking the branch design and improving the space for both consumers and employees.

Diebold Nixdorf delivered a full branch modernization and interior redesign over six months, rebuilding 150 m² into a bright, open concept inspired by the surrounding nature. The new layout added a welcoming waiting and self-service area, three consulting rooms, and technology-integrated design elements such as iPads mounted on oak tree trunks, resulting in a more spacious, customer-friendly branch and a noticeably more pleasant consultation atmosphere.
