Banpará, a bank in Pará, Brazil, wanted to modernize its branch experience so customers could bank how they want, access a broader range of self-service transactions, and move beyond the traditional branch format. Working with Diebold Nixdorf and Saque e Pague, the bank set out to create Brazil’s first 100% digital bank branch using self-service hardware and software.

Diebold Nixdorf helped Banpará implement recycling ATMs with deposit automation, biometrics, check and card dispensing, plus CS9900 In-Lobby Teller terminals with remote video assistance and coin recycling, along with cashless terminals. The new digital branch enabled more than 40 self-service transactions, drove a 20% growth in Banpará’s mobile and internet banking, and reduced costly CIT visits through cash recycling.
