Free, one of France’s leading internet and mobile providers and part of the iliad group, needed a way to keep its 15 sites GDPR-compliant while maintaining a simple, seamless experience for users. Although Free has a strong in-house culture and prefers to build technologies itself, the scale of the consent/compliance challenge led the team to seek an external partner. It chose Didomi and its Consent Management Platform (CMP) to support this effort.
Didomi implemented a privacy UX and consent management solution with customizable consent banners, historical consent access, and cross-device functionality across web and mobile apps. The result was a more transparent, user-friendly experience for Free’s customers, along with easier management for internal teams and a personalized ongoing partnership. While the case study does not cite specific numeric gains, it highlights improved simplicity, better visibility into user journeys, and continued support for group-wide harmonization and compliance updates.
