Large Photography Company - Customer Case Study

A large photography company, which is the biggest instant printing provider in Germany, faced the challenge of creating an emotional, interactive experience at the point-of-sale for products like printed mugs. Their goal was to use augmented reality for a virtual try-on to generate new purchase impulses while avoiding misprints and completely preventing the storage of customer data. Diconium was tasked with developing this AR software solution.

Diconium developed an extensive Web AR solution by leveraging the mixed reality content management system from Appearition. This platform allows the virtual try-on experience to run on any mobile device without needing an app, facilitating an easy exchange of content. The unique product experience was successfully developed and is in the testing phase, with planned deployment in locations like amusement parks to inspire customers and create new purchase impulses.
