FERNRIDE, a European leader in automation solutions for yard and port logistics, faced the challenge of securing its autonomous vehicle systems against cyber threats to meet IEC 62443 standards. Their distributed architecture and compressed development timeline required a partner with deep expertise in automotive security testing. The vendor, Diconium, was brought in to perform comprehensive security assessments and validate the system's resilience.

Diconium implemented a solution featuring endpoint and network security testing, enhanced by their in-house D/ACE automation suite. This approach resulted in the early identification and mitigation of several high-risk weaknesses and the introduction of approximately 100 automated tests. Diconium's work enabled a rapid onboarding process and contributed directly to the successful release of a security-hardened autonomous truck platform ready for deployment.
