Shimmer Sensing, a provider of wearable sensing technology, faced the challenge of meeting the growing demand for medical-grade wearables to improve clinical trials. They partnered with vendor Diceus to build this IoT platform.

Diceus implemented a cloud-based platform and mobile app that integrated with Shimmer's sensors and data processing algorithms. The solution delivered by Diceus enabled automatic data upload and remote patient monitoring, resulting in a significantly reduced clinical trial setup time of just five minutes. This contributed to a reduction in the overall duration and cost of trials for Shimmer, which successfully deployed the platform in three beta trials and won two industry awards.
