RIX technologies builds Latvia’s national archive system for 450 computers with Diatom Enterprises

Diatom Enterprises was engaged by RIX Technologies to address the challenge of creating a unified national archives information system for Latvia. The project aimed to manage, store, and provide access to a wide range of government and historical documents and electronic data for the nation.

The solution implemented by Diatom Enterprises was the VVAIS system, which integrated multiple archival subsystems and provided features like quick search, versatile filtering, and interfaces with external services. The result was a secure, tiered-access system supporting approximately 450 client computers across Latvian archives, ensuring public access to information while maintaining internal controls.
