Latvian National Library digitizes 75,000 pages with Diatom Enterprises

The Latvian National Library faced the challenge of digitizing its vast collections of cultural and historical materials to make them accessible online. Diatom Enterprises provided its services to create a foundational platform for the uniform processing, storage, and public access to these digitized archives.

The solution implemented by Diatom Enterprises established the DiBi digital library, enabling 24/7 online access to digitized books, newspapers, maps, and audio recordings. As a result, the library digitized and published 600,000 records of national editions and laid the groundwork for processing an additional 3.5 million pages, significantly expanding public access to Latvia's cultural heritage.
