A Diaphane Software Case Study
AmRest, the owner of the largest independent restaurant network in Middle and Eastern Europe (over 1.6k restaurants in 16 countries and listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange), faced a new regulatory challenge after the EU directive and Polish accounting amendment required disclosure of non‑financial (CSR, HR, environmental) data. Needing an auditable, multi‑market solution to collect qualitative data quickly and securely, AmRest selected Diaphane Software and its platform for non‑financial data collection and management delivered as a SaaS subscription.
Diaphane Software implemented a customized platform (adjusting GRI Standards and adding AmRest’s indicators), configured roles and permissions, trained users and provided manuals — all within about a month and under a 3‑year SaaS agreement. The tool enabled a two‑week data collection window, end‑to‑end traceability and documented controls; the first reporting cycle (preparation and collection) took roughly three months and future cycles are expected to be shorter, improving compliance, transparency and process efficiency across AmRest’s markets.
