Telekom Austria Group wanted to improve communications and efficiency for its large domestic and international workforce by implementing a Unified Communications solution that would unify email, voice mail, conferencing, presence, and calling through a single interface. It also needed a way to connect the new IP-based system to its existing Alcatel 4400 PBX, and Dialogic’s Media Gateway Series was used as the gateway layer for that integration.
Dialogic helped Telekom Austria Group deploy Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 with SharePoint and Exchange, connected through the Dialogic DMG4000 Gateway. The solution was self-installed, integrated quickly, and proved highly reliable, resulting in improved collaboration, better voice quality, a consolidated communications environment, and substantial cost savings; Telekom Austria also reported no outages and support for a single central phone number for more than 15,000 employees.
