Case Study: Symbio Networks achieves rapid VoIP growth and superior voice quality with Dialogic IMG 1010

A Dialogic Case Study

Preview of the Symbio Networks Case Study

Symbio Networks’ VoIP Service Grows Rapidly in Australia and Beyond

Symbio Networks, a leading VoIP services provider in Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific region, needed a way to handle legacy network interconnects and a wide mix of codecs and packet sizes while maintaining excellent voice quality. To support its wholesale VoIP and managed VoIP services, Symbio turned to Dialogic and the Dialogic® IMG 1010 Integrated Media Gateway.

Dialogic implemented the IMG 1010 to manage codec mismatches, TDM interconnects, and T.38 fax support, giving Symbio the flexibility to connect customers without forcing them to compromise on codec choice. As a result, Symbio’s wholesale business grew rapidly, customers could send traffic via SIP while Symbio terminated it on the TDM network, and the company expanded its VoIP footprint across Australia, New Zealand, and into the Asia-Pacific market.
