Bay Talkitec Wins a Major Defense Contract in India with Its 3G Video Gateway and Applications

Bay Talkitec worked with a major defense organization in India that wanted to add secure 3G services to its wireless network while integrating with Cisco CallManager and private IP systems. The customer needed an interactive video gateway, video conferencing, and video call completion to voice, all with support for 1,000 concurrent calls and high availability. Dialogic’s PowerMedia Host Media Processing software was used as part of the solution.

Bay Talkitec implemented a 3G 3-Way Access Interactive Video Gateway running on Dialogic PowerMedia HMP 4.1. The solution enabled convergence across 3G MSC, Cisco CallManager, and private IP networks, delivered video conferencing and voice fallback for unsupported devices, and used N+N dual redundancy for resilience. With Dialogic, the platform scaled to 1,000 concurrent calls and accelerated deployment without specialized hardware.
