First United Methodist Church of Unadilla, NY needed a better way to notify its congregation and community about events—350–450 people at a time—after relying on paper notices and facing a price increase from their prior provider. The church began using DialMyCalls in January 2016 to find an affordable, reliable notification solution for weekly communications.
Using DialMyCalls’ voice broadcasting, voicemail retries and phone polling features, the church automated event reminders and gathered responses from members. The result was a measurable expansion of outreach—what they call their “Community Connect”—reaching people up to 50–60 miles away and earning positive feedback from members who value the timely information and reminders.
