PepsiCo cuts energy use and maintenance costs with Dialight’s LED upgrade

PepsiCo's Singapore manufacturing facility, a Green Mark certified plant, was seeking to improve its energy efficiency. The challenge was its use of antiquated metal halide lighting that operated at full power even during non-operational hours. To reduce energy consumption and costs, PepsiCo commissioned an energy review which identified a conversion to LED as a top priority, leading them to partner with Dialight.

Dialight implemented a solution using its Vigilant and SafeSite LED High Bays and an IntelliLED control system. This intelligent, Wi-Fi-enabled system allowed for programmable scheduling and dimming. The results were dramatic, significantly reducing both energy consumption and maintenance costs for PepsiCo. The improved visual clarity was so substantial that the facility often operates at just 50% light output while still achieving better illumination than the previous system.
