Olympus KeyMed cuts energy use by 68% with Dialight

Olympus KeyMed, a UK-based developer and manufacturer of medical equipment, faced a significant challenge with its outdated metal halide high bay lighting. The inefficient fixtures consumed a large amount of energy, had short lifespans requiring frequent maintenance, and contributed heavily to the company's carbon footprint. To meet its environmental targets, Olympus KeyMed sought a new lighting solution and turned to vendor Dialight for an LED alternative.

Dialight implemented its DuroSite 150W LED High Bay lights to replace the existing fixtures. This solution from Dialight dramatically reduced energy consumption by over 68%, which also cut carbon emissions by 85 tonnes per year. The new lighting provided instant-on capability, eliminated the need for backup lighting, and significantly improved light levels in inspection areas. Olympus KeyMed is now on target to meet its CO2 reduction goals and is considering further Dialight installations.
