March Foods, a UK-based food contract manufacturer, faced challenges with energy consumption and maintenance in its warehouses due to inefficient 450W HPS lamps that operated continuously. The company sought a more energy-efficient solution and partnered with vendor Dialight to install their DuroSite™ Series LED High Bay lights.

Dialight's solution replaced 84 HPS lamps with 150W LED fixtures on a one-to-one basis, reducing power consumption by 66%. The installation, enhanced with occupancy sensors, increased total energy savings to 72% and reduced carbon emissions by over 100 tonnes annually. The new lights also eliminated a £2,000 annual maintenance cost and provided better illumination. The project was funded by an interest-free loan from the Carbon Trust, with payback achieved in less than three years.
