Optimising the Bucharest distribution centre for a global home furnishing brand with Maersk

Maersk, in partnership with iB Cargo, faced the challenge of optimizing the Bolintin-Deal distribution centre in Bucharest for a global furniture brand. The project, a first-time deployment in Romania, required maximising resource utilisation and improving operational efficiency to meet high customer demands. To address this, they turned to Dexory and implemented the DexoryView robotic and analytics platform.

Dexory provided an automated scanning solution using a robot named 'Neo' and delivered operational analytics for the distribution centre. This implementation by Dexory led to a tenfold reduction in the time to locate misplaced pallets and completely eliminated the need for inventory re-checks. The centre achieved a 4% improvement in inventory accuracy within two months and massively increased throughput from 150 to 10,000 locations managed per hour.
